The PHPTMAPI project has released version 2.0 of the API, following the release of TMAPI 2.0. The QuaaxTM Topic Maps engine already implements version 2.0 of the API.
HypergraphDB is a hypergraph database based on the Berkeley DB released as open source by Kobrix. Interestingly, HypergraphDB contains a Topic Maps implementation based on HypergraphDB conformant with Java TMAPI 1.0.
The TMAPI project has released release candidate 2 of the TMAPI 2.0 standard API for Java Topic Maps engines. The main change in this release is a change in the semantics of the equals() and hashCode() methods on all Topic Maps objects. A final 2.0 release of TMAPI is expected shortly.
Clazzes.org are developing a Topic Maps engine they call Clazzes.org TopicMaps. It’s a Java implementation of TMAPI (2.0?) which stores the topic map in a relational database. The engine is still under development.
The PHPTMAPI project has released version 2.0RC1 of PHPTMAPI, which is the PHP version of the Java-based TMAPI 2.0. If you have feedback or questions you can post them to the PHPTMAPI mailing list.

Lars Heuer just posted a proposed roadmap which, if accepted and followed, would see TMAPI 2.0 final released by early November. TMAPI 2.0 has been in a nearly-finished state for a long time, so this would be a very welcome development.
Note that this means that if you want to see anything fixed in TMAPI 2.0, now is the time to say so!
TMAPI 2.0 alpha 2 has just been released by the TMAPI project. The changes are fairly minor, and are described in the announcement.
